Blacky & Honey (“we”, “us”) runs blackyandhoney.com, a website about two rescued animals and their daily life in Bali. This policy explains what data we process and why. Questions: hello@blackyandhoney.com.

Visitors of the website

• You can read the website without an account.
• Analytics cookies are only placed after you give consent in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time via “Cookie preferences” on the homepage.
• If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply.
• If you join the diary email list, we store your email address, the time you signed up and the consent text you agreed to, and use it only to send Blacky & Honey updates. Every email lets you unsubscribe, or email us to be removed.

Connected social media accounts

We use a private internal tool to publish our own videos to our own accounts on Instagram, Facebook, Threads, TikTok and YouTube. When we connect one of our accounts, the platform gives us an access token and basic profile details (such as account ID and display name) for that account. We use these only to verify the correct account, to publish content we have approved, and to read statistics about our own posts.

• Access tokens are stored encrypted and are never shared or sold.
• We do not collect data about other users of these platforms through this tool.
• A connection can be revoked at any time in the platform’s settings; on request we also delete the stored token.

Storage and retention

Data is stored with our hosting and database providers. We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes above, or as required by law.

You may ask us for access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing hello@blackyandhoney.com.

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
